Making & Maintenance

Each jewel is handmade with the lost wax technique by Maya Sabbatini, therefore in its uniqueness every imperfection and particularity is to be considered a specific and integral part of the craftsmanship and unique work achieved.

Keeping the jewel clean and dry in all its parts ensures a long life to the object, so it is advisable not to wet it frequently with soaps or keep it in contact with heat sources or particularly aggressive atmospheric agents (no sea water, no pool water and spa water).

The metals I use are 925 silver and yellow bronze, and both require no special care - apart from the above.

To clean the jewels and restore their original brilliance, simply immerse them in warm water and rub them gently with a toothbrush and non-aggressive liquid soap, then dry the object thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Sometimes, if not worn frequently, silver and brass jewels may oxidize slightly and show opacity, so this operation is recommended whenever it is necessary to restore the original luster.
